Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Law365 uses on law365.app and in the Law365 workspace at my.law365.app, what each one is for, and how You can refuse them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes everything else We do with Your information.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website asks Your browser to store on Your device. On a later visit the browser sends it back, which is how a site recognises that You are the same visitor. Some cookies are removed when You close the browser (session cookies) and some stay for a set period (persistent cookies). Related technologies such as local storage work in much the same way and are covered here too.
Cookies We use
Strictly necessary
When You sign in to the Law365 workspace, We set a session cookie on the .law365.app domain so that You stay signed in while You move around the workspace, and so that a session started on the marketing site is already established on the workspace. Without it You cannot sign in. It is not used to advertise to You and it is not shared.
Analytics
The marketing site loads Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies in Your browser to count visits and to record which pages were read and in what order. We use this to decide what to write next and what to fix. The measurement identifier is G-53PRCJK6HW, and the cookies Google Analytics sets are described in Google’s own documentation. IP addresses are handled by Google as part of that service.
These cookies are set only if You accept them. Until You answer the banner described below, Google Analytics is loaded with storage denied: it stores nothing on Your device and sets no cookie. Accepting turns that on; refusing leaves it off.
What We do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No cookies that sell or share Your data with a data broker.
- No cookies inside a matter, a draft or a document You upload. The contents of Your files are not read by any script described here.
The Android app
The Law365 Android app is not a browser and does not use cookies. It keeps Your sign-in on the device itself. What the app collects is described in the Privacy Policy and in the Data Safety section of its Google Play listing.
Your choices
The first time You open this site We show a banner carrying two buttons of equal weight: Accept All, which turns on the analytics cookies described above, and Reject All, which keeps only the strictly necessary cookie. Refusing takes the same single click as accepting. Below them, Customize opens a panel listing every category with a switch on each, where You can turn analytics off or on and press Save Preferences; closing that panel without saving changes nothing.
Your answer is stored in Your own browser, not on our servers, and the banner does not appear again on that browser once You have answered, whichever way You answered. We ask again after twelve months, and sooner if the categories above change, because consent given to one set of questions is not consent to a different set. To change Your answer before then, use the button below: it clears the stored answer and brings the banner back at its defaults, with analytics off until You accept again.
How to refuse or remove cookies
Every major browser lets You block cookies, delete the ones already stored, or be asked each time one is set. These controls sit under Settings, usually as Privacy, Cookies or Site data. Google also publishes a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from measuring Your visits to any site.
Blocking analytics cookies does not affect anything You can do on this site. Blocking the strictly necessary cookie means You will not be able to stay signed in to the workspace.
Changes to this policy
If We add, remove or change a cookie, We update this page and the date at the top of it. Where a change requires Your consent under applicable law, We will ask for it before making the change.
